Gorillas 1. Mountain gorilla predators are mainly humans and sometimes leopards. 2. Mountain gorillas are mainly vegetarian, eating leaves, shoots, fruit, bulbs, bark, vines, and nettles. 3. 6. The plants mountain gorillas eat provide them with most of the water they need. 7. When excited, or to intimidate an enemy, a male gorilla pounds his chest. He stands on his legs and slaps his cupped hands against his chest. 8. Male mountain gorillas often leave the group they were born in when they’re about 11 years old. 9. There are three subspecies of gorilla: mountain gorillas, western lowland gorillas, and eastern lowland gorillas. 10. Mountain gorillas live in the wild only in two locations of Africa. |
